51 WORK IT! AGAIN! 51

Certain insights warrant repeating ...

We do not
Get over trauma
We gain insight
By working through it

When insight into depth perception
Is lacking
Tis easy to mistake
Trauma for melodrama

Though melodramatic experiences are greatly exaggerated
Traumatic experiences are naturally dramatic
And mistaking one for the other—too often
May cause a relationship to hit the rocks

When layers of defensive protection are not gently peeled away
Trauma's lasting effects manifest themselves in surprising ways ...
Not just for a while ...
But throughout each stage of life

As it's impossible to do another person's 'work'
Seems wise to concentrate on doing one's own
Why ???
Well—no one leaves childhood unscathed ... so

At times we each need to tunnel
At times we each need to take flying leaps of faith
Either way ...
WORKING to know the sum of one's parts... is wise.

Uh oh—
What if the trauma is too tightly locked
Inside your subconscious
To peek out?

Not to worry
My blog is a likely example
Of how one person
Can choose to be supportive of another person's 'work'

You see
Clues pointing to trauma
Trickle out of the subconscious
In subtle ways

 And by riding sidekick
You'll watch me process through
Collecting clues
Until lost slices of my self respect feel fully recovered  :-)
