1414D SPEECHLESS IN SEATTLE AND ACROSS THE NATION, AT LARGE

I awoke, this morning, wondering, yet again, if
During the aftermath of this painful election
Our nation will experience the back lash of whiplash, coast to coast ...
Then my think tank spied a door in the solid wall into which
My head has been crashing ever since Tuesday evening when
My thought processor watched the national landscape of our map turning red—
And as that door, leading into the unknown, inspired my curiosity to rise
I opened it, and guess what I saw on the other side?
I saw my power of intuitive thought beckoning me (whose
original plans of action are known to think out of the box) to
Face a mirror, which showed my brain to be stuck in a rut, spinning
Its wheels, thinking inside the box, whereas President-Elect Trump
Whose voice knows no boundaries, has
Developed no box to get his brain out of, at all ...

As that last thought emerged from the creative center of

My mind, I felt my state of shock (paralyzed by the sea of red
Spreading all over CNN's map) begin to dissipate, which is why
I find myself less speechless, today, than may be true of
My friends, due north in Seattle, whose minds like mine, felt struck with
Disbelief at how many folk, residing across our nation, chose to raise
Red flags by voting for the most unlikely candidate, who has
Trumped both political parties, over this past year

Anyone who knows me would readily agree that

At this stage in my development any situation, rendering me
Speechless, would have to be as mind boggling as is
Our nation's attempt to absorb the unpredictable result of
Our current presidential election, and since I profess to
Know myself in depth, wouldn't you think that I would have known
My voice would pop, naturally, out of my mouth once
My head had sound reason to stop spinning like a top?
Guess the truth of the matter is this:  Common sense suggests that
We can expect many personal reactions to surprise us— as long as we live

Yesterday afternoon, a dear friend from Seattle called, asking:
How could all the polls and pundits be so wrong?
I answered in agreement with that which newscasters are saying:
Most polls are conducted in highly educated, heavily populated cities
Whereas countless voters, who'd rallied for Trump, dwell within
Rural areas and small towns, and once insight into the fact that
He spoke to their anger, as well as to the frustration of city dwellers, who
Have had it with politicians, who remain deaf to any need other than
Big business, which drives corporate greed, several missing pieces
That make up the bigger picture, Illustrating why Democrats chose to
Vote for an independent or just stay home, flashed clearly through
My conscious mind, stopping my puzzlement, concerning
The abundance of red dust, swirling so quickly from sea to
Shined sea so as to have swept way beyond the redneck southwestern
Desert state (in which my sons were raised within a liberal home), thus
Painting rural areas and small towns across our nation so crimson as to
Give voice to the silent majority, who, upon standing their ground in
Polling booths, exercised their right to express their lack of trust in
Politicians for all the world to see by choosing to elevate
Trump above both sides of the long established powers that be ...

And as today's thought-provoking insight, concerning reality saw
Swirling red dust storms settle down inside my mind
The adrenaline rush, energizing my brain's high speed
Negatively focused merry-go-round ride relaxed its limbic choke hold on
My neo Cortex, releasing a natural flow of freshly oxygenated blood to
Surge through my heart straight into my think tank, suggesting that
Today's intuitive train of thought has just drawn a mental image of
My Intuitive powers offering my sense of logic this opportunity to
Communicate this train of thought so clearly as to speak directly to
My conscious self, and thus has my absorption of
Today's insight into deeper truth reminded me to keep
This daunting fact of life in the forefront of my mind:
Though clarity may have been restored to me, common sense
Highlights my need to grow ever more astutely aware of
This fact, as well:  My current state clarity, concerning reality, will not
Necessarily remain intact, for all time, and here's why that's true:
Denial is a stubborn little critter that tends to usurp control over
Every human brain, from time to time, by building walls inside our heads that create mental blocks, blinding us from seeing deeper truth, staring at us, face to face.  And to illustrate that point, I did my best to copy a photo of an angry red dust storm, clouding clarity, but so far, no luck
Dust storms like this one in Arizona differ from 'haboobs,' which describe a unique situation in which a collapsing thunderstorm exhales a burst of wind that collects dust. The dust can grow into a towering dark cloud, cutting visibility almost to zero.

So, rather than turning red with frustration, I'll briefly paraphrase an internet article describing the swirling nature of Mother Nature's red cloud which I'd hoped to show you:  Dust storms describe a collapsing thunderstorm, exhaling a burst of hot wind that collects so much dust as to grow into a towering dark cloud, cutting visibility (clarity) almost to zero.
And it's that same lack of visibility (born of egocentric hot winded opinions) that creates a mind shift so challenging to the brain's sense of clarity as to swirl gusts of darkened emotional cloudiness that permeate our think tanks so thoroughly as to literally blow any intelligent thought, concerning bigger pictures, which make sense of roiling confusion, out of our minds.  And not until gusting storms of negatively focused, darkly emotional reactiveness settle down inside our brains can our thought processors begin to process and absorb our communal need to embrace objectivity and humility so that (clearly expansive) shots of reality can showcase narrowly focused channels of turbid thought, which have limited our scope, concerning the unmet needs of our fellow Americans, over long.  And now that the electoral college has shown red bleeding all over blue, what does Today's train of thought intimate, concerning my opinion about our future?  Please stay tuned ...
