862 NGUOY Part 26 EMOTION PROVES UNPREDICTABLE WHEN THE SURVIVAL INSTINCT IS AROUSED …

In yesterday's post
I questioned where my thoughts come from …
Upon reflection, it seems likely that
At this point in my life
Trains of thought flow out of my processor
In the same way that
High and low musical notes coalesce
While well practiced fingertips
Trip back and forth along a keyboard.
And when a wrong chord has been hit, I edit :)

BTW, you don't have to recharge all of your relationships, just the ones that you hope to keep well oiled in meaningful ways.

Do you know that the survival instinct is aroused each time your ego feels even slightly slighted?

Do you know that each time instinct to defend a sense of injured pride arises, negatively focused thoughts cause the most generous, high flying smiles to frown, if not consciously then behind one's persona, where vulnerability hides out?

Can you guess what I choose to do in order to ensure that my injured pride steps aside to clear the path, offering positive thoughts clearance to flow forth, freely?  I open my tool box and oil each working part of that complex instrument, which creates the harmonic music of my mind.  And once I'm no longer needling my mind, unnecessarily, I ask questions in hopes of reclaiming clarity.

In answer to yesterday's first riddle:
Can you can name and tame the energy force that is naturally empowered to push the human spirit away from its restful state of equilibrium, whereby individuals experience swings between one extreme (passion) and its polar opposite (logic) until the brain's natural music of life swings back and forth in hopes of re-establishing a well-grounded sense of balance as indicated by two spirits no longer feeling needlessly needled while two individuals quest toward establishing a common ground so that emotion and logic rebalance in such a melodic fashion that opposites function, harmonically rather than discordantly?  The energy force that needles the brain to swing this way or that is your survival instinct and mine :)

In answer to yesterday's Riddle #2:
Can you come up with any possible thoughts
Which may have aroused feelings of gladness
That awakened the sparkle in my smile as well as
My instinctive, heartfelt desire to write at 5AM?
My spirit felt happy to reconnect, meaningfully, with a friend

Today's riddle:
What might cause yesterday's smile to grow pensive, today?
The fact that from day to day our thoughts change
And as thoughts create feelings
Emotion remains as unpredictable as
Which ever thought flies out of our minds

Hopefully, we'll return to Annie and Will, playing twenty questions on the multicolored striped couch in their cheerfully appointed family room, tomorrow.
