WEEKEND UPS (A BALLERINA IS BORN) AMID MINOR DOWNS

Weekend ups—
While we desert dwellers enjoyed grandparent’s day with Ravi at preschool, on Friday—

On the west coast, Tony made his first interception, and he and Ray caught
The ball and both gained great yardage while playing touch football with
Their second and third grade teammates, but—no pics or vids to post—because
Barry was too busy coaching to film—
Go Bears!  (Tony's team)  Go Colts!  (Ray's team)
Ah!  If only we could conjure up a magic wand, which with one wave would
Transport us from one place to another in a matter of moments
Our hearts would leap for joy, and our fortune would be made!

With no wand in sight, let’s hustle our focus back to our family in the desert
With whom we’d texted, back and forth on Saturday, while deciding whether or
Not to brave the intensity of record-breaking heat in hopes of enjoying
The ballet, staged last evening under twinkling stars in the park where
Ravi—held spell bound during the performance—made friends, afterward, with
A six year old sprite, who like my three year old grand daughter, was
Utterly mesmerized, eyes focused solely upon the graceful glamour of
Fairy-like dancers in gold lame tutus lifted high overhead by
Men in tights so that each well-trained, willowy body on point seemingly
Floated through the air across a brightly lit stage while
Two pairs of highly imaginative, utterly delighted, long lashed eyes were
Swept ever more deeply into fantasyland with every ethereal movement made by
So charming an ensemble of dedicated professionals, all of whom devote every day
To perfecting their passion for the art of dance—and lo and behold
Once the performers had taken their last avidly applauded bow, I witnessed a duet of
Pint-sized, starry eyed ballerinas (performing lifts) arise before my delighted eyes—

And now, having shared reason for my spirit's sparkle to
Sport a cheek splitting smile, here comes this weekend's
Minor down as Will has been prepping, today, in readiness to be
Sedated and scoped, tomorrow (literally, from top to bottom)
First by way of his esophagus down to and including his
Stomach, followed by sliding scope bottom's up through
Colon and small intestines—why?  Because during his battle with
Kidney stones, Will’s hemoglobin dropped significantly within
A period of four days, and though his numbers are normal, once more
That level of 'droppage' in so brief a time is quite uncommon
Suggesting source of internal bleeding, creating anemia, remains
A mystery, prolonged due to need to wait till Will had healed from
That out patient procedure, which proved necessary to
evict that ornery pair of stubborn stones, and having
Slipped these details ever so delicately into today's post
You can see why, on one hand, Will’s not looking forward to
Sunrise tomorrow though, on the other hand, he’s eager to get
This double whammy, over and done with—and
Once again, we reference the intuitive portion of my brain
Guiding the conscious portion of my mind toward creating
A train of thought that mindfully directs our focus toward concentrating on
Balance in all things—BTW:  No pics or vids of 'roto-rutering' will be
Posted for obvious reasons (unless you happen to be Will’s
Gastroenterologist); however, here’s what you can expect
To see published once the tiny camera, which will be
Inserted by way of the scope, offers us the all clear:  Test results
And since we consciously choose to remain hopeful concerning
Receiving only good news, you can see why our cup, which
Most commonly runneth over, remains, for the most part
More than half full of ups—and now, this post will be
Interrupted for Sunday-fun day's football game—
Ohhmm ...
