Up at our cabin in the pines. Enjoying a 'firecracker' weekend with our kids and their friends. Attempts to add photos of this quintessential slice of small town Americana, parading down the main drag alongside the golf course, failed to post due to poor cell phone reception. I'll post those pics when we return home from our north country retreat, which I've called my magic place for 37 years. It's my magic place, because as soon as the car is loaded and we're on our way, I feel at peace. No TV and the phone rarely rings. The whole town turned out to admire the red, white and blue parade, and later in the day, one of Steven's friends prepared a sumptuous feast of crab legs, shrimp, steak, potatoes and corn on the cob for fifteen. Yum! Wishing you a happy, safe and healthy Fourth of July celebration!
