326 BREAK AWAY FROM THE CHAIN GANG

Anxiety, resulting from déjà vu, signals our defense systems to kick in.
Anxiety is as contagious as the common cold.
Anxiety, left in a raw state, over long, converts into negative energy

Though positive energy may walk into a room
Once negative energy is sensed, a domino effect of reactiveness
Creates a cycle of anxiety, which travels from one mind into the next

When anxiety is left to fester in an unresolved state
Inner conflict may be sneezed from person to person—until ...
This confounding 'infection' creates pockets of dark, hot spots within our minds

As inner conflict infects one relationship after another
Strain develops within a group ...
Which had once rejoiced in each other's company, peacefully

If, over time, the confounding nature of several inner conflicts remains unnamed
The mental attitude of a group, struggling to solve a problem, as a whole
May be unable to sustain a positively focused attitude, which neutralizes mental activity

When asked what might result if deeply conflicted minds
Strain, too long, to deny on-going pain
I respond:

If stress does not find a safe place to be productively released
Then one angst-ridden relationship after another
May unexpectedly explode

When asked what might cause a series of painful explosions to take place
I respond:
The pressure of one last straw ...

Now, let's flip that coin to see how change for the better may affect all
When two people, who had originated the conflict
Choose to break this chain of strain by identifying negative mind sets ...

Might not the group as a whole ...
Feeling saved from coming undone ...
Breathe a collectively grateful sigh of relief?

Tis one thing to lead a chain gang
Tis another to inspire links to connect with a chain of hope—and
After considering both, which chain would you choose to claim as your own?

Together we strengthen and heal
Divided we breath life into negativity, born of distrust
And distrust breathes life into subconscious power struggles—repeatedly

In order that 'two heads are better than one'
Head butting, fueled by negative mind sets, must end
Easier said than done?  Absolutely!

And that is why I believe:
Tis wise for all to retune our minds in hopes of turning negative cycles around ...
For the good of the whole

And thus as each of us moves forward along the time line
One, small step after another
Let's hope that every individual moves toward healing oneself

Once each person works to understand inner conflicts
Caused by *Déjà vu
Then what could be a healthier group dynamic than one as positively focused as that?

PS:  Can you guess what will cause this 'plan' to fail?
Failing to identify negatively focused mind sets ...
Which have been based in subconscious insecurity, pretty much forever ...

And if this train of thought makes sense to you
Then in keeping with the spirit of this holiday season
What might be the best gift that we can give to our loved ones?

The best gift of all
May be found not by going to Macy's
But by cleaning out closets and sweeping negative mind sets away...

And
That's
The truth!
