Amazing to think that after electing our first black president, twice, rather than continuing to move our nation in a forward direction, our impatience with change for the better chose to turn back the clock by electing a gold encrusted bigoted blow hard, whose utter disrespect for democratic principles batter our ears every time his voice releases yet another inconceivably contemptible, hornets’ nest of lies concerning every vital aspect of life—most especially anything that’s of a scientific nature, and thus—with trump at the helm—our nation has run completely amuck, over these past four years.
And just as with toothpaste, PUTIN THE trump BACK INTO THE TUBE may prove to be our nation’s greatest feat as seen by the millmm r of voters who continue to march straight toward The White House on both sides of the street.
This week, we have the singular opportunity to right the vast number of wrongs, which have offered the nations of the free world sound reason to gasp, repeatedly, so aghast are we each time this truth must be grasped, anew—our current president is anything but sane.
Why was it crucial to vote blue on Nov. 3rd before 8pm? Because the tag team of reality and common sense continues to spotlight the fact that our forefathers’ courageous fight for democracy is not yet over in 2020, and every serviceman/woman’s personal pledge to ensure that his/her loved ones’ hard won freedoms remain preserved in perpetuity, cannot co-exist on American soil peaceably with a heartless narcissistic dictator-want-to-be such as our nation’s current commander in chief repeatedly sees himself to be—bottom line—Democracies are not ruled by dictator-Putin-want-to-be’s ... and a peaceful change of command does not call for ruffians to make up a caravan of flag waving trucks driven by thugs, who are filmed surrounding a bus load of Biden supporters, threatening peacekeepers, resulting in the cancellation of their gathering—in short—
Most everything the current administration says and does is—un-American. And so much is illegal that the Senate’s self serving decision to declare trump unimpeachable has unscrewed our forefather’s balance of power just as capitalism, unchecked, has seen the scales of Lady Justice swing so dangerously toward the right that the eternal torch held high in the hand of The Lady in the Harbor has become so dim as to darken the hopes of the American people—but not enough to have stopped us from masking up so as to have lined up and cast our votes in protection of ensuring the healthy future of The American way ...
Since the beginning of his campaign, Biden’s promise to be every American’s president, has been declaring that we’re in a battle for the soul of our nation. And—bottom line—that’s the truth,
Paraphrasing, Thomas Friedman, columnist for The NY Times,—(have we experienced the last weekend that we’ll see America as we know it? ... America, where free and public elections actually happened ... If free elections ‘break’ it’ll be really hard to put the toothpaste back into the tube ...
Over these past few trying days, my digestive system has been feeling raw, perhaps due to the irritant combination of swallowing iron supplements along with seeing ‘red’ refusing to accept trump’s defeat once ballots had been cast and the polls closed at 8pm on Nov. 3rd.
Thus far, this week, I’m feeling somewhat better, and have decided to forego even one more iron pill till physical and emotional irritations have had time to calm down.
With allergic reactions increasing along with our recent change in season, coupled with serious consideration of our concern about consequences of climate change, I hope your weekend is proving as restful as is humanly possible what with another horrific hurricane riling up oceanic swells reminding us of near snd present dangers threatening the declining health of our planet, which scientific study proves as directly related to climate change, which trump insists is yet another hoax to add to many months of bald faced lies concerning Covid. And though I cannot escape into fantasyland along with trump’s cultist cronies, it does my heart good to imagine you comfortably seated in an easy chair, while quarantining, reading by a sunlit window, which having wrapped you in the warmth of sunbeams, sees me hoping that the content of your book offers your mind more uppers than downers during this politically astoundingly confounding time in our nation’s history.
If you believe you’ve voted your conscience then, it’s time to breathe deep and relax with a good read in your hands, which brings to mind, yet again, my hope that book club selections, during exceptionally trying times, will take the current state of our spirits into consideration.
On the other hand, so much that’s worth reading for discussion proves heavy in content, which is why, throughout this difficult year, I’ve not been able to absorb most of the selections chosen by both of my book clubs. And as I’ve yet to regain the energy necessary to absorb mental stimulation, which always provides for lively discussions, my choice—to forego reading anything heavy followed by deciding not to participate quietly during Zoom discussions—go hand in hand in hopes of regaining my peace of mind whenever it slips into oblivion, again.
And who am I to comment on your book club selections, most especially during this lengthy time period, which has been so terribly trying as to call forth my defense system to blind the conscious portion of my brain from openly acknowledging the depths of my stress for more than a flash of honest recognition before a velvet curtain descends, covering all sense of distressing reality within the sturdy, opaque framework of denying any reaction other than feeling grateful to be alive and surrounded by love..
On the other hand, I believe our soulful need to reveal deeper truth sets our minds free to relax suppressed anxiety, so, hopefully, as my intuitive powers have opened the conscious portion mind to absorb the continuing existence of both sides of human nature as revealed within the content of this post, I believe we’ll witness my digestive distress decrease though the presidential election and the senate’s self absorbed game of musical chairs is soon to advance toward whatever will be as the indefinite nature of our nation’s future repeatedly proves to be only a day away. Whew!
