Though Halloween has not yet
Come and gone
I can clearly imagine what
My family and friends must be feeling with
So many loved ones still out of sight at
A time when making travel plans for
Thanksgiving Day draws so near that
Our hearts feel sad to think of
How deeply our nearest and dearest are
Missed, day in and day out, as
Months continue to pass without
Leadership in D.C. coming up with
A plan to control Covid so that
We can feel safe to go out and about
Instead of feeling as if quarantine will
Last longer than the rest of our lives, which
For most of us is not true, because
Many more of us, who are
Ridin’ with Biden, will be sure to vote by
Nov. 3rd, so that, once
A true statesman wins this
Presidential election, hopefully
In a landslide, we can
Smile as long as our minds remain
Positively focused upon enjoying
Thanksgiving Day surrounded by
Loved ones come November, 2021
And though today’s train of thought
Does not boost a magical way to
Improve upon Thanksgiving Day, 2020
It’s the best that my intuition has to offer off
The top of my head other than to
Add so much love to the ramblings of
My mind, which I wish came equipped with
A wand so magical as to wave away
Every care that we share concerning
On-going need to shelter
Your personal sense of safety and mine until
Ridin’ with Biden has had a sufficiency of
Time to create changes for the better
All around, at long last ... and
Before wrapping up by sending warm hugs
Here, there, everywhere, here are several
Treasured memories of
Thanksgiving, 2019, which I’d love to share
