A PERSONAL VICTORY WITHIN REACH!
Though my walker and I still get so short of breath, we often feel need to sit down, after taking no more than three or four steps—on an up note, pain—based in nerve damage running straight down the incision made to open my sternum as well as eight inches of nerve damage running across the right side of my back—continues to diminish, so extra strength Tylenol has replaced hydrocodone with the exception of evening, when I take one low dose of Tramadol before bedtime.
Over these past few weeks, I’ve been working toward taking zero opioids, which proves a significant goal, being that I’ve had need to relieve chest pain throughout many months of chemo, pre-surgery, followed by severe pain, post surgery—so thankfully, Sunday proved to be my first hydrocodone-free 24 hour day in more than a year.🙋🏻♀️😊
