HAPPY-GO-LUCKY IS A MATTER OF CHOICE

Afternote:
If you think happy go lucky disregards consequences
Please hold all judgments till today’s stream of
Intuitive thought thought ends with the last insight in
The string of insights which is about to brighten our
Conscious awareness by spotlighting this deeper truth:
Choice is often a matter of positive or negative attitude
And now, here comes the string of insights that
Intuition awakened me to pen, today, concerning
My perceptions of this week’s senseless killings in Las Vegas ...
(Did you catch the frequency with which life is lost, senselessly as though
We’ve come to expect mass murder to run rampant through our streets while
Nothing is done to proactively create change for the better, which
Is as senseless as the fact of our law makers bowing to the gun lobby)

The world has been called a jungle for sound reason:
Lurking behind masks of civility, wild beasts, loading weapons of
Destruction, live right next door or down the street from
Unsuspecting folk, like you and me, and since deeper truth
Suggests that this reality has been unchanging since
Survival of the fittest inspired one caveman to
Wrestle another for control over the second man’s kill
The innate force of self empowered brutality cannot be denied
Not even by a mind, trained to employ positive focus as
Habitually as is true of mine ... begging the question:
As citizens of the USA continue to gun down their classmates
Neighbors and neighbors’ children in schools than is true
Of any other well educated nation (thus barring third world countries)
To what reason must we remain blind, concerning
Why domesticated killing sprees spray bullets so
Freely throughout a nation that, perhaps, gives more
Lip service to democratic principles than we’d like to believe
Seriously, do we have more maladjusted malcontents
Lurking angrily amongst us than our communal defense system’s
Wall of denial allows the conscious portion of our brains to
Absorb once a shudder of momentary awareness, spotlighting
Human beastiality baring its fangs, has passed from
Conscious recognition into the cavernous depths of
Our brains, where much of historical knowledge must be
Repressed if we are to maintain the sanctity of
Surface decorum that’s necessary to safeguard our ability
To quell our survival instinct’s fear of personal safety each time
We leave our homes in pursuit of working to better
The lives of our loved ones, and  ... if today’s insights are in fact
Deeper truths speaking aloud then tis fitting for this instructor of
Communications to begin the new year by focusing
The proverbial spotlight of intuitive insight upon our need to
Conscientiously expand school curriculums to include
Sociological knowledge concerning the intricate functions of
The human brain, beginning in junior high, so as to inspire
Tomorrow’s leaders and citizens to make better use of
Taming their gray matter than proves possible, today
And on that positive note, highlighting the importance (yet again) of
The line of control, I’ll consciously ready my sense of
Personal safety to adventure forth into the great unknown as
I leave my home to pick up Ravi, so that she and I can partake in
The innocence of today’s play date, which we plan to enjoy with
My young friend, Janice and her three year old daughter, Kari ...
And thus doth this train of thought suggest that living life to
The fullest requires a brain that lusts for knowledge and
A spirit that’s unafraid of carving an existential path through
The jungle, which may or may not devour your connection and
Mine to every day courage that’s subconsciously necessary if
We are to enjoy a happy-go-lucky existence within a world made
More dangerous by remaining ignorant of the complex interconnected
Workings of the body organ, which harbors deeply ingrained, oft times
Repressed attitudes that influence the existence of contradictory
Beliefs, behaviors and conflicting trains of thought within
The gray matter between a person’s ears, which left in
An unexamined state of being, challenges the brightest of intellects to
Feel need to consider the validity of choices that may be as changeable as
A gust of hot wind, suggestive of the fact that today’s nay may become
Tomorrow’s yea, and that confounding mystery proves primarily true for
This simplified (down to its lowest common denominator) insight driven reason:
The world is inhabited by civilized people, each of whom harbors
A brain composed of both sides of human nature, and here’s why
Every generation of writers reference a jungle _ plain and simple:
Unlike a gazelle, which remains a gazelle in every situation, through and through
Every person’s brain harbors the id, suggestive of the fact that well educated
Civilized folk, may harbor two thirds gazelle and at least
One third angry tiger, by nature, and if anything causes that gazelle
To snap, the stalking tiger’s fangs will unexpectedly pounce! Unless
The portion of the brain that’s pure tiger tiger has been conscientiously
Trained to choose cooperative methods of conflict resolution, which
Over the long run, prove more effective than baring claws and fangs, and
Once you’ve chosen to study the limbic system, you’ll agree that
Retracting fangs and claws is the best way to go, over all ...

As every insight in this post is classic, not even one is new, suggesting that
Insights of a universal nature are always in need of further review in hopes of
Inspiring those who value education to absorb reason to voice need of
Expansive change for the better concerning our children’s daily curriculum
Seriously, my choice to buoy my spirit with a happy go lucky attitude
