647. FROM CUE TO FLU

When last we met
I took a cue from you
Then life took an unexpected turn ...
Over this past week
I've been down with the flu
A really mean flu
Meaning that illness has
Dizzied every system in my body ...
Head aching
Eyes tearing
Nose sneezing
Brain reeling
Throat raw
Chest tight
Stomach loose
Limbs all ashiver
Too hot
Too cold
No appetite at all
Having made my dizzied way into bathroom
Next thing I knew ...
Couldn't remember
If I'd downed two extra strength excedrine or not
Must be at least a tad better, today than yesterday
Because up until just now
Too miserable to let you know
What's kept me too busy (???) to write ...
Sure hope you're feeling better than me!
