525 GOLDILOCKS COMES TO CALL ...

So, yesterday I received an email from a dear friend—"Debbi" to be exact.
Annie, she writes, check out post 520.
You wrote your true name and your sister's, as well.
If you didn't slip those clues into your story, purposely, you might want to edit.

Thank you, 'Deb' for catching my mistake.
Edit I did.
And you know what happens while editing, right?
Yep—couldn't help it

Tried to stop it
Tied myself in dark closet with bread and water
Locked door, trashed key
Got out—added details to post 520
What else did you expect?
Every detail makes each next story more believable ...

To edit is my choice
To reread or not is yours

In hopes of tipping your hat toward following my lead ...
Please note that each additional detail
Pops out of my head for good reason

Over the years
I found myself reaping the rewards of
Having 'adopted' three adult daughters
Each as awesome as all prove lovable, coachable ...
Open to listening to hindsight, speaking of insight

Yesterday, I swung on my patio swing
Swaying in sync with Mother Nature
Feeling somewhat sheltered
From summer's sweltering 116 degrees
And while breathing in strength
From the grounded presence of my mountain and grapefruit tree
I swapped stories overflowing with insight into a life well lived
With one of my trio of lovely 'daughters'
All of whom are raising their young while running with wolves
And while my heart poured funny tales of Life with Lucy
Into her ear, tears kept welling up in my eyes
Why?
Because tears are Mother Nature's way
Of allowing us to express emotion
Too deep for words to convey ...

Though life remains far from perfect
I freely express my appreciation
For having the good fortune to
Love this life I call my own
And having tossed that thought your way
Here is my wish for you:
I wish you a happy Sunday, dear friends
And you know who you are—

As for me I continue to place my faith in this fact:
Throughout this small, small world
Which offers up countless coincidences
A day will dawn when we'll connect, peacefully, one and all

As for now, I've enjoyed spending
The greater part of this weekend
Doing this with one friend and that with another
And though I'll look forward to greeting
Whatever pleasant surprise today may offer up—
If nothing is forthcoming
Then I'll relax, go with the flow
And smile while enjoying
Fleeting moments injected with peace of mind
Till such time as fate rings my bell
And sets my mind to swirling
In need of retrieving the key
To editing or solution-seeking, once again

As to stories?
Well, patience is a virtue or a trial, sooo
I'll leave you to answer this question for yourself:
How much patience can you muster up
While my sense of readiness continues to ripen?
Not too much ... not too little
Just the right amount, I hope ...
Because here's one thing I've learned for sure:
Readiness hurried is readiness delayed
:)Your friend,
Goldilocks
