It comes as
No surprise that
I take great pride in
My Jewish heritage
And so—though
Small in number
The Jewish people may be—
Largess of spirit is
What we shall agree
To offer to thee
As has been true
Throughout our history
And that’s all
I have time
To say for today as
Passover is on its way
And I have much to do
That cannot wait till later—
As later, I hope to
Relax before welcoming
Our family and friends to
Enjoy partaking in
Our deeply meaningful
Festive Seder in
Celebration of
Let freedom ring
